Why fit Blackhawk 4x4 upper control arms?
Lifting an IFS 4x4 by 30mm or more disrupts the factory suspension geometry: caster is reduced, steering feels vague, bump steer creeps in, and larger wheels and tyres start contacting the standard upper control arm or coil tower. Blackhawk upper control arms (UCAs) are engineered to correct caster and camber on lifted vehicles, restore steering feel, and clear aftermarket wheels, tyres and suspension components - with fixed-position OE-specification ball joints rotated to maximise down travel.
Fixed offset vs Ultimate Adjustable
Fixed offset UCAs (UCA range) are the fit-and-forget option, with a built-in caster increase matched to 30-70mm lifts and camber correction to OE spec. Ultimate Adjustable UCAs (BHU range) bring on-car adjustability refined from 4x4 competition vehicles, suiting lifts from 30mm to 75mm, and are NCOP/ADR compliant for street-legal use when fitted by an accredited installer with engineer certification where required.
